The PBA partners with local business to host a series business workshops each year. These workshops are intended to focus on topics important to our members as small business owners and non-profit organizations.

A very active legislative session in Connecticut has resulted in new laws pertaining to employee training as well as paid time off.

 

This workshop looks to provide detailed information on the change in Connecticut law, how the new laws will affect your day-to-day operations and how to stay ahead of the changes to make a positive experience for your business.

This workshop looks to provide an understanding of today’s major threats, outline ways to best educate staff and corrective measure available in lessen risks.

Hale YMCA Youth and Family Center

Does anyone in your office have the training to assist in an emergency? Consider enrolling in the YMCA’s CPR First Aid and AED Red Cross Certification Class. The program, offered throughout the year, helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. You will be taught the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Business-After-Hours Mixers

The PBA, in partnership with member businesses, host two ‘Business-After-Hours’ networking mixers a year. These mixers, held in the Spring and Fall, allow members and non-members the opportunity to socialize while building business connections in an informal, relaxed venue.
