What types of things would you like to see at the PBA?

We’re looking for your input. We welcome your ideas and we need to hear from you what it is that you want to get out of being a member of the Putnam Business Association. Please let us know how we can help your business to succeed. What are the reasons you joined? What can you do to help our organization? What upcoming events would you like to see?
I would like to see the PBA member’s work on cross promoting their business. For example, I presently have a promotion on my website offering 20% off my services but was thinking that gift cards from local businesses might be perceived as more valuable to potential customers. Feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

I love your idea. So, if somebody bought $100 worth of services from you, you’d provide them with a $20 gift certificate to a local business… I’d say this is a pretty good incentive for anybody that doesn’t currently offer gift certificates to get some. Thanks, and I think you should bring this up at the next meeting (second Wednesday of every month at 8:30am).

Basically that’s the idea. I like to target my promotions on certain seasonal services that I provide. As of right now, I am promoting power washing and gutter cleaning in hopes to book some spring jobs now. So, if I purchase gift cards from a PBA member and then offer it to my potential customers, we both have a shot at gaining a new customer. A win, win! If the whole group participates with each other, that can be a huge win for all.
