Putnam – The Town’s Memorial Day observance will take place on Monday May 27, 2013 with our parade step off at 10:00 am and will conclude with a memorial program at Rotary Park. In case of inclement weather, notification will be on WINY 1350 AM the morning of the parade.
The parade will feature a lineup of marchers which will include town officials, a National Guard Unit, local veterans groups, VFW and American Legion poppy queens, several civic and fraternal organizations and youth groups. Patriotic music will be provided by Relative …

Town Wide Cleanup
-Lend a hand and keep Putnam beautiful!
8:30 a.m. in Rotary Park
Participants will break off into groups and work together to remove trash and litter from various areas through out Putnam. All the necessary tools will be provided, including gloves and trash bags.
Don’t forget to meet back up in Rotary Park around 11:oo a.m. for a FREE lunch as our way of saying “THANK YOU.”

The YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is an annual event in towns across the country and on April 27th, HKD returns to Putnam Middle School!
From the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Northeast Opportunities for Wellness will once again take part in HKD by presenting a multi-sports clinic.

The Last Green Valley is calling on all communities and residents to show their support for our beautiful National Heritage Corridor by lighting up green during Green Lights, January 15 – March 17, 2013. Day Kimball Hospital puts together a gift basket for the “First Born Baby” of the New Year.
Each year, we seek donations of items to be included in the basket by local businesses, organizations and individuals. Contributions in the past have included baby clothes, accessories, gift cards and U.S. Savings Bonds.
