The Ninth Annual Putnam Congregational Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, June 27, at the Raceway Golf Club in Thompson.  The day features a lunch beginning at 11:45 followed by foursome scramble format golf play.  The day concludes with a steak dinner where awards and prizes will made.  The cost to participate in this tournament is $125 per golfer or $500 per foursome.  This fee includes both the lunch and the steak dinner, 18 holes of golf with a cart and a starter bag for each golfer.  During golf …

The Safe and Friendly Community Decal Campaign kick-off went on without a hitch even though the weather did not want to cooperate. The Putnam Partnership Program which includes PRIDE, The Putnam Business Association and the Putnam Police Department began their campaign with their very first business to sign up, Cumberland Farms. The 2009 Holiday Dazzle Light Parade was a huge success! Here are some photos from the event.

The PBA Marketing committee met last week to go over some ideas for 2010. We talked about some of the main things we’d like to accomplish. The top priorities are generating a tourism map for Putnam and other marketing areas, such as the continuation of the WINY advertising campaign and the possibility of some TV ads. As you can now see, we’re improving our website and we’re also working on generating an e-Newsletter. Stay tuned for great things to come from the PBA!
